Twice during their stay, the group managed to land the famous Two-Tone – both times weighing in over 66lb, and each from a different swim: first from swim 7 and later from swim 1. A real milestone on a carp lake known for its challenging fishing.

Patience and picking the right swim


Le Grand Etang is not an easy lake. But for anglers like these Austrian lads, who take their time to select the right swim and aren’t afraid to explore the weedy areas in search of clearer spots, the rewards can be big. That’s exactly what led to their success. Their strategy paid off: 26 fish in a week, with most weighing between 44lb and 66lb – a sensational result.

A koi as the icing on the cake


Amongst the big mirror carp, one true showstopper stood out: a beautifully colored koi that not only shone in the trophy shot but left a lasting impression on the whole group. Moments like these are what make carp fishing at Le Grand Etang such a unique experience.
