52 runs at Domaine de Rumilly - Le Planète
Our guests TNT arrived at Domaine de Rumilly - Le Planète on 25 July 2026 for a carp fishing holiday with friends. Fishing with two anglers, they enjoyed a highly active week with 52 runs and 35 fish landed. Eight of their catches weighed over 30 lb!

An action-packed week at this carp venue
With 52 runs during one fishing holiday, there was certainly no shortage of action at Domaine de Rumilly - Le Planète. TNT landed 35 fish without suffering any line breakages. They did experience several losses and noted in their honest review that not every fish’s mouth was in perfect condition.
As carp anglers, we know that not every run ends with a fish in the net. Even so, 35 landed fish and eight specimens over 30 lb make this a result to be proud of.

Small amounts of bait worked best
The most important lesson from Swim 1 at Domaine de Rumilly - Le Planète was clear: keep the amount of bait small. TNT used only two or three handfuls of boilies, without particles or large baited areas.
They also recommend rotating your fishing spots regularly at Le Planète. A rod that produced bites would often slow down after four or five fish, so moving to a fresh spot helped to keep the action going.

Where to place your rigs?
TNT advise fishing at least 33 ft from the bank at Domaine de Rumilly - Le Planète. There are several small branches and other debris close to the margins, so placing your rigs farther out reduces the risk of problems during the fight.
A large pump provides oxygen towards the centre of Le Planète. Fishing near this oxygenated area proved effective, although TNT recommend not placing your rigs too close to the actual inlet.

Watch for subtle bites
Not every indication developed into an obvious screaming run. Some bites were extremely subtle, making close attention essential.
TNT recommend watching the rod tip carefully after every single beep at Domaine de Rumilly - Le Planète. When the tip shows clear movement, do not hesitate to strike. It is a simple but valuable tip that helped them enjoy a very active carp fishing holiday.

Straightforward bait choices
There is no need to make your baiting approach unnecessarily complicated at Domaine de Rumilly - Le Planète. According to TNT, standard fishmeal boilies worked without any problems throughout their fishing holiday.
Crayfish were not an issue. Catfish were also willing to take sweet boilies, so it is worth considering this when selecting the bait for your carp fishing holiday.

Practical tips for your fishing holiday
TNT were positive about the electricity supply at their swim. They also found the freezer in the washing facilities ideal for storing bait and supplies during their fishing holiday.
One practical item you should definitely bring to Domaine de Rumilly - Le Planète is a sturdy hammer. The ground consists of hard gravel, making it difficult to secure bivvy pegs and other ground stakes without one.

A varied French carp venue
Domaine de Rumilly - Le Planète is an approximately 15-acre carp venue with four bivvy swims, each suitable for two anglers. Alongside its healthy carp stock, this French carp venue also holds sturgeon to approximately 99 lb and catfish to approximately 132 lb.
The combination of regular action, carp over 30 lb and several different species makes Le Planète an interesting choice for a carp fishing holiday with friends. TNT’s results show what can be achieved with a mobile approach, accurate rig placement and restrained baiting.
